three and half days...

this week has been quite busy trying to see everyone before going back...and since there's nothing to do around here other than shopping and going out to eat... i've been doing a lot of both lately....like i've been to six restaurants in the past four days...i went to el rodeo today with my grandma. i hadn't been there before, but it was fabulous.  tonight, i'm meeting up with some girls from my HS job (for dinner.. yeah...more food...), and baby chelsea is coming, too!

i also saw a bunch of ppl i graduated with at lisa's get together... i'm glad lisa picks one day over just about every break and invited like thirty people to her house... i wouldn't see  a lot of the people otherwise.

i have maybe half of my stuff all packed... i wanted to consolidate and take less this year and i think i might succeed! (so far, so good...) i haven't started packing clothes yet, though....meh....

i'm excited for this year... i think it will go well... (excited for organic chemistry and physics??   ok maybe not  excited, but i'm not dreading them...)

alright...

that's all for now... have fun with your lives until i feel like updating again (probably won't be too soon).

a little vacation

going to the poconos for a couple days this week. i think it shall be fun.

a couple more weeks of work, a trip or two more, a little back to college shopping and then moving back into the dorm for band.

hung out with angela e last night, hadn't seen her in a while. it was a good time.     then we went to liz's and met her latest love interest and some of her other camp friends.

angie was really disappointed that our group of friends from HS didn't keep in touch, etc.  i have mixed feelings about it...    some people, we were close enough tfor me to want to stay in touch with them and want to contact them this summer to make plans to do a little something.  or at least think "i should call ____." but there were some people i didn't expect to ever try to contact me/vice versa once we graduated, and i'm ok with that. furthermore, some people i just wanted to finish HS with them with minimal drama.

meh. it all comes with growing up, i suppose.

went to dorney park a couple weeks ago with college friends. fun night until my car got a little messed up. it's ok, though, since it's getting fixed this week.

i'm currenly to karen about going to canada. yay.  and i'm meeting w/ joanna and (probably) rachel tomorrow for lunch.    i think this week will be good (due to reasons other than the fact have off for most of it).

have fun

summer half over...WHAT?!

so... yeah... it's about the half-way mark for my summer... i have mixed feelings about this.  i'm not really doing anything besides working. i'm trying to plan  a few fun days of vacation though.  now that i got my financial aid letter for next year (which arrived today) and i found out that the fact that my sister graduated college didn't really impact my financial aid, i think i can afford to take a nice vacation or two or three  or... something. hahaha.

plus... i'm thinking that if she moves out altogether (which she probably will once she gets a job and starts working), it still won't impact my fin. aid very much.. which means i don't have to worry about earning lots of money over my summers.  this makes a lot of the  research/travel/internship options i've been considering for other summers a lot more financially possible.  i'm excited.

i'm starting to get sick of being home...i think i need to take a trip sooner than i had originally planned.

anyone up for a road trip? (preferably not to niagra falls, since i'm going there w/ college friends in august, or the poconos, since i'm planning to go there w/ my cousin and aunt)

Congratulations to all the recent graduates!!!

went to NL's graduation wed. night and saw haley's speech.  except i didn't hear it due to sound problems (the ceremony was in the auditorium, and they broadcast it to they gym, where i was, so more people could come to it).  saw all my friends from class '06 graduate and talked to some afterwards.

went to Hamburg Area's graduation last night to see my cousin graduate.  they have a combined graduation and sr awards ceremony, so i saw her get a few awards, too.  it was kinda long though, esp. since i've only met like three ppl she was graduating with, haha.

working full-time is going pretty good.  the people i work with are fun and nice, and i haven't made too many major mistakes (two that i had to call the customers after they left and tell them that i did something wrong, but they both worked out).

volunteering hasn't started yet--i had my hershey med placement meeting three mondays ago, e-mailed the lady last friday asking if she had an assignment for me and still haven't heard anything.

so, i contacted the low-income clinic in lebanon to see if i could work something out there instead.  it'd be closer and right now, i'm seriously considering going into a medical career geared towards helping the people who have less access to good healthcare, anyways.

ok, hope everyone's having a terrific summer!

i'm free nights and weekends. if you wanna do something, let me know.

Spring Semester

so...

back home again...semester two, DONE.

had orientation for volunteering at hershey med today, and i start my summer job on monday.  meh.

so...yet another fun story from finals week:

this is from saturday before finals, aka all college day... most people are either studying for finals or totally wasted.  however... jen, megan and i were just kinda bored...so we decided to dress up and kidnap someone, take them to mc d's and buy ice cream for them.  our first victim, caitlin, refused to leave the library (after we ran half way through the place, dressed like this, to find her).  so we abducted adam instead. then we delivered mc d apple pies around campus (still dressed like this), which included arguing with peter because he didn't believe we were sober... what can i say?

yes, that is underwear on our heads.

ok, i hope everyone has a wonderful summer. let me know if you wanna hang out.
